Practice Description – Lewis W. Jost practices in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate law, business transactions, and bankruptcy (representation of creditors, debtors and trustees). He is admitted to practice in all State courts as well as in the United States District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern District of Texas. Mr. Jost practiced briefly in Colorado and is also licensed to practice law in the courts of that state.
Experience - A graduate of Southern Methodist University and of the University Of Texas School Of Law, Mr. Jost has been practicing law since 1986. In that time he has represented business clients at every level of trial court from Justice of the Peace to United States District Court. In Mr. Jost’s real estate practice, he has also represented persons and organizations with widely varied interests from homeowner’s associations, to developers, to commercial property landlords; and he has handled all types of issues for his clients from the drafting of simple leases to multi-party arbitrations involving entire subdivisions.
The wide diversity of experience Mr. Jost brings to the firm’s practice gives him the ability to recognize opportunities as well as problems and also gives him the tools to effectively help his clients address both.
