Gordon Waggett has more than 25 years of experience focusing on the protection, enforcement, licensing and commercialization of patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright assets, and handling other intellectual property law matters, including unfair competition. With significant experience working for large law firms, large international corporations, and for his own law firm, Gordon is unique suited to help his clients protect their assets.

Gordon graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Biology before attending the prestigious Rice University in Houston, Texas where he obtained a Masters in Science in Environmental Science and Engineering. Gordon received his law degree from the South Texas College of Law where he acted as the research editor of the Law Review during his studies.

Upon graduating from law school, Gordon worked for law firms focusing on intellectual property litigation and business transactions before joining Schlumberger as general counsel. During his time working at Schlumberger, Gordon handled a wide variety of legal issues including, evaluation, monitoring, and settlement of litigation, intellectual property protection and litigation, contract negotiation and drafting, and risk management.

Gordon went on to found his own law firm where he worked as general counsel for several clients and continued to advise clients on the protection, enforcement, licensing, and commercialization of intellectual property assets. In 2012, Gordon joined Adair Myers Stevenson Yagi where his creative thinking and outstanding work ethic continues to provide the best possible outcome for his clients.
